Current Statewide Contracts

Virtower provides a uniform operational data baseline across every airport in your state program. The same methodology, the same equipment, the same processing logic, applied at each facility, regardless of who operates it. The result is data you can compare across airports, track over time, and use in planning, funding, and policy conversations without having to qualify or caveat every number.

State-Wide Contract Performance

Florida

106 Airports · Active since 2024

Virtower had more than 90% of airports operational within 90 days of contract commencement. Virtower data now forms the basis for all FAA 5010 submissions for Florida's 106 public-use airports. The FDOT Aviation Office has publicly recognized the system as foundational to how Florida understands and communicates statewide operational activity. Renewed Early in 2026.

Utah

Active since October 2022

Virtower identified more than 1,400 previously unregistered based aircraft — contributing more than $1 million in additional aircraft registration revenue to the state airport fund. Over 1.1 million operations were recorded across Utah airports in 2023 alone. Virtower was granted a contract amendment to support Beyond Visual Sight Drone Operations (BVLOS) in 2026.

Kentucky

Statewide contract · 2024

Following a successful 2023 trial, Virtower was awarded a statewide contract. Virtower is now installed at nearly every airport in the state. More accurate counts have in some cases tripled the activity numbers previously being reported — directly supporting improved 5010 submissions and project justification. Renewed 2026.

Illinois

Active statewide contract

One of Virtower's four active statewide deployments, providing airport operations counting across the Illinois state airport system. Virtower has further been selected to Support Kimley Horn by extending our service another 3 years from late 2026.

State Grants & Federal Programs

Grant Programs & Federal Deployments

Several states have introduced grant programs that fund airports to adopt approved operations tracking systems. Virtower is approved under each of these programs and leads deployments in every state where grants are active.

North Carolina

Independent validation study · 2022

ITRE at NC State University completed a 12-month study funded by the NC Division of Aeronautics. Virtower captured on average 20% more operations than the leading competitor tested. Following the study, North Carolina introduced a 50% annual grant for airports to adopt an approved operations tracking system — Virtower was the first company approved.

Indiana

Grant-funded deployments · Active since 2022

Indiana introduced a 20% per-year grant (over five years) for airports to install an approved operations tracking system. Virtower now has more airports operational in Indiana than all other approved systems combined.

Texas

RAMP funding · Active since 2023

Under the Texas RAMP program, airports can receive 90% of the cost of an approved operations tracking system. Virtower is operational at nearly 60 Texas airports and growing. At most of these airports, Virtower data has nearly doubled previously reported non-towered operations counts.

Dept. of Homeland Security

Federal · Active since 2022

In 2022, Virtower was selected by DHS to support inter-agency air asset deconfliction along the US southern border — CA, AZ, NM, and TX. In 2024, this relationship expanded to provide nationwide support for maintaining air domain awareness across US airspace. Supporting both federal and state partners.
